Marley and Alejandro's wedding happened the 3rd of May 2025 and represented the legal union of both parties. They have been novios since September 2024. The date was a godsend after much struggle against the mairie and was set to be right after f*uck the fr*nch day and two days after the international workers' day. As it appears obvious, the most important aspect of a date is for it to have good anniversaries. The night after ceremony, they all drank as much as possible along the quais of the Seine.

For the novio, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to shorten "the most incredible person I know" to "wife".
In the case of Marley, this constituted their second wedding[1] and according to Marley's mom:

Nefarious rumors assimilating this event to a mariage blanc were swiftly dispersed.[citation needed]
Marley and Alejandro met on the dating app Hinge and their first ever conversation was about Wikipedia. They are nerds and quickly fell in love after a whirlwind romance, becoming engaged in November.
Along the securing of a wedding date, the planned single visit to the mairie turned into 5 different, thus constituting the first 5 episodes of the wedding arc.
